Harry's museum, located within the restaurant, features beautifully crafted display cabinets with a rotating collection of museum-quality sports memorabilia.
One of the most unique items on display is the remains of the Infamous Cubs Foul Ball deflected by fans during the Cubs' 2003 playoff loss to the Florida Marlins. The ball was later destroyed by Harry Caray's with the help of Oscar winning Special Effects Director Michael Lantieri. Other notable items include the baseball Kerry Wood used in the historic 20 strike-out game against the Houston Astros in 1998, Starlin Castro’s game-used batting gloves which set the MLB record for the most RBI’s in a major league debut, Orlando Palmeiro’s bat used to make the last out in the White Sox 2005 World Series Championship game as well as Paul Konerko’s grandslam ball from the 2005 World Series. The museum is also home to Richard Dent's Super Bowl Trophy, Steve Stone's Cy Young Award and Harold Ramis' Ghostbusters jumpsuit and glasses.
Additionally, Harry Caray's is proud to feature a rotating selection of memorabilia from the collection of Rob and Priscilla Steinmetz. Notable items include an original 1920's player-worn Chicago Cubs dugout jacket, road jersey worn by Harry Steinfeldt during the 1909 season, first baseman's glove worn by Ernie Banks during his final season with the Cubs in 1971 and much more.
Below is a sampling of artifacts from the museum's extensive collection. With new items added daily, there is always something new to see.
